LA SOLFATARA houses a studio dedicated to cold glassworking. Cutting, polishing, and silvering techniques enable the creation of glass elements, as well as the restoration and conservation of Jean-Michel Othoniel’s works. Essential to the artist’s practice, this space takes over where the work of Swiss, Italian, and Indian glassblowers ends. The meticulous assembly of glass structures relies on the studio’s expertise, allowing each element to be precisely adjusted and fitted. Committed to learning, collaboration, and the transmission of craftsmanship, the studio occasionally welcomes assistants and interns to take part in its activities.
